A portion of Graylyn’s grounds is dedicated to the Children’s Center of Winston-Salem, a school that primarily serves children with orthopedic and/or long-term chronic health impairments. Graylyn and the Children’s Center also share long-standing traditions including an annual Holiday party. This particular year, I got to capture the joyous spirit of the season during the holiday party. It was impossible to leave without a smile.
Each year, Graylyn donates a portion of its business success back to Wake Forest University to fund the Graylyn Scholarship. The University awards this full scholarship to an incoming student demonstrating strong leadership skills and academic excellence.
Pure Barre uses isometric movements to give you a full-body workout in 50 minutes. I have a soft spot for Pure Barre because I have been taking for 5 years and am also teacher! My goal with this video was to get a first-hand account of just how effective Pure Barre can be. Who knows, maybe it will inspire you to give it a try!
I traveled to New York City with a group of Wake Forest University Business majors to document their two-day Career Trek journey. The students visited several companies to get an inside look at the industry, and a taste of the city life! I tagged along with my camera (where allowed!) and laptop to capture the spirit of this unique event.
The North Carolina State High School Play Festival is a weekend filled with 16 shows, performed by 16 high schools from across the state that advanced from their regional competition. Hundreds of high school theatre students take over Greensboro College for one weekend to celebrate each other, make new friends, and put their best foot forward on stage. I had a blast interviewing and photographing these passionate and energetic students!
This one is dear to me, my own grandfather served in the Korean War. This video was a very quick turnaround as we wanted veterans to be able to view it on their actual day. The ceremony was held at one 1pm, and I was able to publish and promote the video by 3:30pm. I had two cameras – one stationary to catch the speeches, and the other to gather intimate photos and video.
